The Afghan president Hamid Kazai says security's been restored to the capital, after Taliban militants launched a series of attacks on government buildings and the presidential palace. At least 5 people were killed and 38 injured after a gunbattle broke out near the Defence and Justice Ministries, and a luxury hotel used by westerners. Plice sealed off a large part of the centre of Kabul, as explosions rocked the city. The militants struck as cabinet members were being sworn in.
