Midnightrider | March 09, 2010 - Federal prosecutors unsealed criminal terrorism charges Tuesday against a Pennsylvania woman who allegedly used the Internet to recruit men and women across the globe to "wage violent jihad."

Colleen R. LaRose, a U.S. citizen who used the nicknames "Fatima LaRose" and "Jihad Jane," has been in custody for months while the FBI and Justice Department pursued leads in the investigation, according to federal sources.

This is to ask Facebook not to filter users from Iran and other embargoed countries.

Weeks after Iran removed Facebook from its lengthy list of banned websites, and while Iranians had just begun to enjoy their cyber-freedom, the harsh words of "You Are Not Authorized" might be returning to their digital life; this time not from the Islamic Republic officials, but from Facebook officials!

US police arrest a group of protestors in Oakland, California.



Police in the US have arrested at least 150 students participating in peaceful nationwide rallies to protest against cuts in educational funding. 






Baton-wielding police said Thursday they arrested the protestors who blocked a freeway and caused traffic for an hour in California's Oakland region. 

According to authorities, one protester suffered serious injuries after jumping from an elevated freeway while officers were making arrests.

Students caused disruptions at the University of California at Santa Cruz UC Berkeley, and other universities across California. Protests also took place at the University of Maryland.
